It is estimated that around 10 million tonnes of plastic end up in the oceans every year and this number is increasing. At Velfont we are committed to responsible production, as the recycling of waste such as plastic and the use of organic materials represent a sustainable alternative that is committed to our society and our planet.

New range of products
made from
recycled materials
Each product in the range allows between 15 and 90 plastic bottles to be recycled. Here is
the process we followed to achieve it:

15-90 recycled bottles
Depending on the type of product and its size, at Velfont we recycle between 15 and 90 plastic bottles per item. Plastic that, had it not been transformed, would have taken 450 years to biodegrade.

Material crushing process
After being recovered from the environment, the bottles are crushed so that they can be reprocessed. After stringent quality control, this recycled material is stored until the next stage.

Polyester fiber production
Once processed, the plastic undergoes a washing and disinfection process and the fiber production process begins. This fiber will be used to make filling for duvets and pillows, or to obtain recycled polyester yarn for weaving.

Result: sustainable products
Thanks to the innovative work we do to recycle plastic, we obtain products that are environmentally friendly and capable of generating a second life. All this while maintaining the highest quality standards that characterise Velfont.
